Roller Door Repairs & Servicing

A roller door works differently to a sectional panel-lift door — the curtain of slats rolls up into a drum above the opening rather than travelling back along ceiling tracks. That simpler mechanism means fewer components, but the ones it does have (the drum, guides, spring and motor) each fail in their own particular way, and the fix is usually specific to roller doors rather than a sectional-door repair applied to a different door type.

We repair and service roller doors across residential properties and light-commercial sites — workshops, warehouses and shop frontages. The most common calls are a door stuck partway, a motor that's stopped responding, slats that have come off their guide, or a remote and receiver that no longer talk to each other.

As with any garage door repair, we inspect before we quote. A stuck or noisy roller door can have more than one cause behind it, and it's not unusual for what looks like a motor fault to actually be a tensioning or guide issue once we've had a proper look.
